We live only 6 miles from Ricke’s parents so it’s pretty common for us to end up over there without much notice. Â This was one of those days, the kids were kinda crazy at home and the weather was gorgeous so in order to get some energy out we decided to head over to Grandma and Grandpa’s and help with with some yard work. Â In the 3rd photo down Grandma is showing Asher a tree that Ricke planted when he was young.
A Year of Portraits
I have always loved a simple portrait with a clean background. Â So a year ago I decided to take a simple portrait of Asher and Vivienne each month and I’m so glad I did! Â They are so much fun to look back at! Â Sadly though due to all our traveling this summer I didn’t get a July and August portrait, but that’s ok because because thankfully I did have other photos of them to use 🙂

Tuesdays with Vivienne | 2 | First Haircut
Vivienne has a lot of fine hair that has bit of curl on her bottom layer and is always getting knotted no matter what I did. And in the past few weeks she has started hating having her hair brushed and done. Because she is my child who I am constantly having to choose my battles with I decided that I would just eliminate the hair battle. Thankfully she was on board with getting her hair cut!
Tuesdays with Vivienne | 1
Asher is in school twice a week which means it’s just Vivienne and I twice a week. Â So this past Tuesday we went to a new coffee shop where she colored and I had my Bible study time. Â I didn’t go into the coffee shop that morning with plans to document the time but the light was just gorgeous and I couldn’t resist running out to the car to get my camera. Â I’m so glad I took the photos because they sparked this new project of documenting my Tuesday mornings with Vivienne.
