4 weeks down, only 48 more to go :). Â I have to say I’m really enjoying this challenge of making sure I’m getting in the picture with Asher. Â Some weeks I plan on doing something more creative, but other weeks it’ll be just us cheesing for the camera (well I’ll at least be cheesing for the camera). Â And some weeks there will be two pictures, like this week, because I want to make sure Ricke is also getting in the picture. Â My goal is that Asher will have lots of pictures of us with him.
Get in the Picture – Week 3
Father and Son – Get in the picture week 2
Asher loves music.  He especially loves when either Ricke or I play the guitar for him.  This picture was taken just before bedtime a few days ago and it just melts my heart.  I love seeing Ricke and Asher together.
I realized it would be very easy for me to just take pictures of Ricke and Asher and I want to make sure I’m getting in the pictures because that’s the main reason I started this little project.  So here’s a second picture for week 2.  I tried to get a picture of Asher and I in our Michigan shirts on Saturday, but he was not having any of it.  I still like the picture.
Photography project
I’ve been wanting to start a year long photography project for a while now, but could never decide on what I wanted to do or when I should start.  I always felt the starting point should be the new year, but this year I’m due with Baby #2 on January 4 and I don’t think starting a year long project then would be the best idea.  All that to say I’m just going jump in and start this week!  No waiting for the new year!  It’s my project so I can start whenever I want.  Now that I’ve got a starting date, what exactly am I going to do?  I’ve already been thinking a lot about this topic, but after reading this article last week, I’ve decided to have the project feature me or my husband in photos with our child, soon to be children.  This list from Rebecca at Simple As That has given me a lot ideas to start out with.  I’m going to further develop a list of my own with seasonal pictures and things that are special to my family.  I’m really excited to be starting this project!  Oh, and I am already planning on giving my self some grace when Baby #2 comes.  It should be fun being in the picture more often. 🙂  Ok, I have to go dust off my tripod and my wireless remote. 🙂
One of Asher’s favorite things right now is going to the park to swing. Â I don’t want to forget how much he loves it!
