7 weeks left! Â Time is really starting to fly by now! Â This past week I’ve been having contractions that my midwife and the doctor at the hospital confirmed are not Braxton Hicks, so I’ve been told I need to take it easy. Â That’s easier said then done when you have 1 year old running around, but I’m doing my best. Â I’ve always felt this baby would be early (watch me be wrong) but 33 weeks is a little to early.

Recent happenings
Ricke was gone this week from Monday-Wednesday and while I know that it’s not a long time I missed him.  I’m not used to him traveling for work.  I’m sure if he traveled more often I would adjust, but I’m glad he’s home and Asher is glad he’s home.  Of course Monday, the first day Ricke is gone, would have to be a crazy one.  That morning Asher had is 1 year appointment which meant 4 shots.  He actually handled them pretty well, I think they may have been more difficult for his pregnant mom :).  Thankfully my step-mom, Tonya, came over to visit with Asher and give him is birthday presents.  It was nice little break for me since I need to go to the bank.  Soon after Tonya left Asher fell and and took a decent size chunk out of his lip, I thought I was going to have to take him to the hospital to get stitches.  During this time Asher is crying hysterically which he never does, and was calling for his daddy.  Ricke tends to be bit more of the comforter with Asher, I felt so bad that daddy wasn’t there and wouldn’t be home for a few days.  I called Ricke to fill him in on everything then called Tonya and asked her to come back so I could see what she thought.  She suggested trying to get him into see his doctor, thankfully our doctor is only 1/2 mile away and they just had a cancellation  So for the 2nd time that day Asher and I headed to the doctors office.  The lip was looked at and the Dr said she wouldn’t have to stitch it up if the bleeding stopped.  Thankfully the bleeding finally did stop and didn’t start up again.  In hinds sight it was wasn’t a huge deal but I think it seemed so much worse to me because Ricke was far away and couldn’t be home in under 20 minutes.  The pictures below where taken later in the afternoon after the bleeding had stopped.  Asher’s lip looks a little funny right now but seems to be healing just fine.
Get in the Picture – Week 6
I actually have several pictures of Asher and I from this past week and was debating about which one to use. Â This one was taken on his birthday after Ricke and I gave him his birthday cake and it’s special to me. Â When I first looked at it I instantly noticed myself and said what a terrible picture. Â But the picture is not about me. Â The picture is about the memory of Asher having his cake and getting it all over himself and the floor. Â It’s about the family time that Ricke, Asher, and I had that night. Â It’s about being in the picture with my son. Â And that’s why it’s special to me.
