A Mom and a Camera

One stay-at-home mom documenting the everyday

Hands

October 20, 2012

I love these little hands.  Even when they are constantly pulling things off or out of my nightstand, trying to grab the camera, throwing food on the floor, and doing their best to reach the keyboard.  But I especially love them when they are flipping through books, gently playing with baby sister’s new baby doll, and patting me on the back.

49 weeks and 29 weeks

October 19, 2012

I really cannot believe that I only have 3 of these photos left to take and I can’t believe I’m going to be a mom of a one year old in 3 weeks!  Time sure has flown by.

29 weeks, wow!  I was quite productive this week, I finally picked a doula and signed up for a VBAC class.  Now it’s time to start working on the nursery. 🙂

Father and Son – Get in the picture week 2

October 18, 2012

Asher loves music.  He especially loves when either Ricke or I play the guitar for him.  This picture was taken just before bedtime a few days ago and it just melts my heart.  I love seeing Ricke and Asher together.

I realized it would be very easy for me to just take pictures of Ricke and Asher and I want to make sure I’m getting in the pictures because that’s the main reason I started this little project.  So here’s a second picture for week 2.  I tried to get a picture of Asher and I in our Michigan shirts on Saturday, but he was not having any of it.  I still like the picture.

Practicing being gentle

October 16, 2012

Asher loves playing with the toys that are for his sister.  This little doll was given to us my parents and he loves it.  I figure instead of taking it away from him I can work with him on how to be gentle with it, hoping that it translates over to when his baby sisters arrives in about 2 months.
