I cannot believe I’ve finished the weekly photo of Asher!  There were times during the past year when I just wanted to stop but I’m so glad I didn’t.  It was definitely challenging at times especially since it was just me trying to get a very active baby to stay still just for a few seconds but so worth it.

We’re getting closer.  Only 8 weeks left!

Saturday morning Ricke and I took Asher to a kids concert to see Slugs & Bugs.  He was a little young to really appreciate it but we enjoyed it :).  We arrived home to find a package for Asher, a birthday present from his aunt, uncle and cousin.  It was an activity table and he loved it!  Later that day another uncle brought Asher his gift, a giant bear (I have no idea where this bear this is going to live) and he loved it too!  On Sunday we had Asher a simple family birthday party.  He seemed to really enjoy all the people and getting to eat more cake!  It was very full, very fun weekend but I have to say I’m glad it’s done.  Now it’s time to start thinking about Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the new baby :)!

Instead of cramming a ton of pictures into one post, I’m going to split them up.  These photos are from Asher’s actual birthday on Friday.  When Asher woke up that morning Ricke and I sang to him then gave him his present from us, a tee-pee!  We then had a yummy breakfast of sausage and blueberry pancakes as a family before Ricke had to leave for work.  That evening we had some more family time and let Asher have some cake.  From the pictures you can see he loved it!

It was a lot fun celebrating Asher turning 1!

One year ago this little man made me a mother!  I’m so thankful for his life and for all the joy he brings to those around him.  I couldn’t imagine life without him.
