It doesn’t happen all the time but the majority of the when time I ask Asher where his baby sister is he starts patting my belly, it’s so cute :).

These 2 pictures were taken a year ago today.  Asher seems so tiny but it shouldn’t be surprising seeing that he was 3 days shy of being 1 month.

Asher usually hates getting his diaper changed but you wouldn’t know it from these pictures :).  He must have seen the camera and decided not to act up.  I change A LOT of diapers, I thought it would be less once he got older but he is such a heavy wetter and has such sensitive skin that I feel like all I do is change his diaper.  Oh well, such is the life of a mom.

I actually have several pictures of Asher and I from this past week and was debating about which one to use.  This one was taken on his birthday after Ricke and I gave him his birthday cake and it’s special to me.  When I first looked at it I instantly noticed myself and said what a terrible picture.  But the picture is not about me.  The picture is about the memory of Asher having his cake and getting it all over himself and the floor.  It’s about the family time that Ricke, Asher, and I had that night.  It’s about being in the picture with my son.  And that’s why it’s special to me.

I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned it before but just in case I’ll mention it again, reading is one of Asher’s favorite things to do!  He is such a little book worm!  I find it funny that he even took his first steps at the library.

Asher really could sit on my lap all day and have me read to him.  I look forward to when he is older and being able to share with him some of my favorites like the Chronicles of Narnia and  The Queen’s Thief Series :).
