One stay-at-home mom documenting the everyday
My parents have a cottage on Lake Huron and last year we only made it out there a few times due to weather and kids. This summer we’re hoping to get out a bit more. Our first trip was 2 weeks ago and overall it was a wonderful time!
For the past couple of weeks Asher has not been wanting to sleep in his bed because he says there are monsters under and behind the bed. We’ve told him monsters aren’t real and we pray with him every night but some nights nothing seems to work and he wants to sleep in his chair or on the floor next to the door. Tonight was one of those nights so I gave him some Monster Spray. I sprayed it around his room first then let him spray it where he thought monsters were. He seemed much more relaxed and peaceful when he went to bed so here’s to hoping this Monster Spray does it’s job!
Since we are finally having some warm weather here in Michigan I’m starting to notice that the cars are making their way outside.

Lately I’ve had some opportunities that have challenged me and pushed me to become a better photographer. I really enjoy being a hobbyist photographer and don’t foresee myself going into business full-time. That being said I would love to be doing some birth photography on a part-time basis. On April 20th I had the privilege of photographing my first birth and it was amazing! I learned so much and I’m really looking forward to applying what I’ve learned to the 2 births I’ll be photographing in June. Here is one of my favorites from the birth in April.
